At that point, he’s rescued by Nezumi and whisked away to the Western District to discover the truth about No.6. After witnessing two people strangely die, he’s taken away by the Bureau of Safety. There’s a time skip, and suddenly it’s four years later and instead of studying ecology, Shion’s a park worker. This leads to being stripped of his rights to live in Cronos and qualification to enter the Special Course. On his 12th birthday, Shion hides and helps an injured Nezumi, a VC. Oh, and one last thing: if you doubt us, we won’t hesitate to eliminate you. You will live happily and peacefully within these safe walls, and you will wear this No.6 is a utopia, there is no poverty, there are no conflicts, there are no problems. NOTE: For my sake, I’m writing Nezumi, as Nezumi, and not “Rat” like in the subs, and Shion instead of Sion, like the MAL character page. Even so, it couldn’t hurt to try a sip, could it? But then again, everyone has different tastes and this just may not be your cup of tea. No.6 is a captivating anime and I can honestly say that after having just watched it twice through. Now, a long time after their life-altering first meeting, Shion and Nezumi are finally brought together once again-the former elite and the boy on the run are about to embark on an adventure that will, in time, reveal the shattering secrets of No. But despite knowing that the other boy was a fugitive, Shion decided to take him in for the night and protect him, which resulted in drastic consequences: because of his actions, Shion and his mother lost their status as elites and were relocated elsewhere, and the darker side of the city began to make itself known. Nezumi turned out to be just one of many who lived in the desolate wasteland beyond the walls of the supposed utopia. 6-gained a new perspective on the world he lives in, thanks to a chance encounter with a mysterious boy, Nezumi. However, Shion-an elite resident of the city-state No. I suppose it is the first time anybody’s moved since the second episode. Many years ago, after the end of a bloody world war, mankind took shelter in six city-states that were peaceful and perfect. The fight scenes had a quite noticeable drop in animation quality.I thought it was impossible to get inside the correctional facility? And then they go ahead and do it… because spoiled rich people become paralyzed by stinkiness. What has this whole pseudo-mystical angle with Elyurias added to the show? I will go ahead and propose nothing at all, except to give me more fodder to laugh at.The baby decides that Dogkeeper is her mother, and then starts suckling from a dog teat? What strong familial bonds. To go from a wuss to a special agent with skills exceeding Nezumi’s in the span of five minutes, and then back again? When the most “reasonable” explanation I can think of is that Elyurias is influencing his mental state, something’s off. I appreciate the idea that people can change, but this is just silly. He shoots a soldier from across the room, and then comes in close for the kill, finishing him off from point blank range while the man cries and begs for mercy.įinally his eyes glaze over, and Shion joins Nezumi in crying. He even knows the secret passages! He fools doctors with his smooth talk, and outfights soldiers with his cloak. Courage reignites in his heart, and a smile lights up his face! He knows the positions of the security cameras and how to avoid them in a building he’s never entered. This episode, he starts out cowering in the back of the truck, and gets grossed out by corpses. What is going on with Shion in this episode? He’s been a pansy for the entire show. When the villains level towns, kill babies, execute old ladies, and pile up mountains of corpses in the basement for no apparent reason, it’s kind of hard to take them seriously. So they started the episode by having Shion and Nezumi climb a pile of corpses. 6 is the BIG BADĪfter last episode, the creators still hadn’t established the fact that No. So here Dogkeeper is in a ruined town, surrounded by the dead and the dying, searching for gold in the rubble. Then one of her dogs comes up to her, who found something. Dogkeeper, standing amidst the rubble of the destroyed town, scoffs at Shion’s idea that the people from No. “Ok, I’ll get on it after I kill these small fry.” They aren’t People!
